The title, "Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame", is drawn from Charles Bukowski’s poetry, though the name only came to me after the painting was complete.
Through this work, I sought to capture the relentless struggle of moving upstream, even when the weight of the world threatens to pull you under. It embodies the resilience within—a persistent light and fire that burn fiercely, urging you forward and lifting you out of despair.
